Taking the Whole Family to A Hotel Near Hersheypark? Here Are The Best Rides for Kids

So, you're taking the whole family on a trip to Hershey. You've found a hotel near Hersheypark, you've got the itinerary planned out (you're spending a day at Hershey's Chocolate World and taking in a Hershey Bears game). And while you've got your tickets to Hersheypark and a checklist of roller coasters in your pocket, you haven't yet decided which rides to take the kids on.

Easy. Here's a quick list of kiddie rides less than a mile from your hotel near Hersheypark.

Livery Stables. One of the classics of the kiddie-ride genre, the Livery Stable is a carousel with a whole herd of horses. And it's kid-sized, so they'll feel like it's especially for them.

Bizzy Bees. Adorable. Adorable! Not only will your kids look cuter than a whole apiary full of bumblebees riding these little bee-cars, they'll have a blast pushing the button that makes buzzing sounds.

Balloon Flite. Just because your kids are bigger fans of Dora the Explorer than Jules Verne is no reason to show them how the old man's protagonists got around. Get a picture of your kids in these miniature hot air balloons and you can embarrass them for the rest of their lives.

Granny Bugs. These ladybugs are real ladies -- grannies, to be exact. And they'll spoil your kids, just like their real granny.

Helicopters. The best thing about kids? A real ride in a chopper means going around in a circle with a bar you can pull to make the helicopter fly 10 feet off the ground instead of five.

Mini Scrambler. For kids who love a good thrill ride. The mini-scrambler spins your kids into a tizzy, with four major arms supporting four smaller arms each. The big arms spin in one direction, the little arms in the opposite directions. It's a recipe for fun -- just make sure to let your kids ride it before lunch.

Dinosaur-Go-Round. Hey, they told you this was a hotel near Hersheypark -- not Jurassic Park! No worries, though. These cuties won't eat anyone. They'll just march around their light-up volcano, pleasing your kids to no end.
