Giant Center has been the home of the American Hockey League team Hershey Bears since its opening in 2002. The Hershey Bears are affiliated with the National Hockey League's Washington Capitals team. In 2010, the Hershey Bears won the Calder Cup, the AHL championship, for the second year in a row. It is their 11th victory and a record for the AHL.
